PetSpa Grooming FAQ
What to Expect from Your PetSpa Experience
Do you require proof of vaccinations?
Yes, to receive services at PetSpa Zionsville we require proof of vaccination. Each pet’s health is our top priority. For dogs, we need proof of current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. For cats, we require proof of current FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations.
How long is the typical appointment?
Although styling times vary depending on your pet’s size, coat, and temperament, we estimate average Zionsville grooming services to take four to five hours from start to finish. Keep in mind we generally multitask in order to maximize the number of pets we see each day. We may be trimming or painting another dog’s nails while your cat’s hair dries.
Is it normal for my pet to be tired after grooming?
Yes, it is normal for pets to be tired after a day of grooming. We make every effort to ensure your cat or dog has a luxurious day in our salon, but it’s still an activity which requires energy and extra time on their feet. It’s not uncommon for your pet to need rest after a grooming session. Senior pets may be stiff or tired afterward. We provide breaks and treats throughout the process in order to make the experience enjoyable desire the longer periods of standing than normal in their daily routine.
My pet currently has stitches. Can I still make a grooming appointment?
We cannot offer PetSpa services to any pet wearing a head cone, has bandages, stitches, is in heat, or has any type of contagious condition. Health and safety rank as our top priority. We may also decline grooming or bathing services to any pet that requires a sedative. Local veterinary clinics may better administer that service.
