PetSpa Grooming FAQ
What to Expect from Your PetSpa Experience
Do you require proof of vaccinations?
Yes, to receive services at PetSpa Norcross we require proof of vaccination. For dogs we will need proof of current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. For cats we require proof of current FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations.
How long is the typical appointment?
Although styling times vary depending on your pet’s size, coat, and temperament, we estimate that the average grooming service will take four to five hours from start to finish. Keep in mind that we generally multitask in order to maximize the number of pets we see each day. That means we may be trimming or painting another dog’s nails while your pup’s hair is drying.
Is it normal for my pet to be tired after a grooming?
Yes, it is normal for your pet to be tired after a day of grooming. We make every effort to ensure your cat or dog has a luxurious day in our salon, but it’s still an activity which requires energy and extra time on their feet. It’s not uncommon for your pet to need some rest following a grooming session. Senior pets in particular may be stiff or tired afterword. We are mindful to provide plenty of breaks and treats throughout the process to make sure that even though it can be tiring, it’s still an enjoyable experience.
My pet currently has stitches. Can I still make a grooming appointment?
Due to health and safety concerns, we cannot offer PetSpa services to any pet that is wearing a head cone, has bandages, stitches, is in heat, or has any type of contagious condition. We may also decline to groom or bathe any pet that requires a sedative, as we feel your local veterinary clinic may better administer that service.
